FiveM Clipping: OBS + NVIDIA Alt+Z (Medal-ban cities)
On FiveM, NVIDIA Instant Replay often fails with messages like “supported game required.” Meanwhile, some GTA RP cities put players on clip watch and only accept NVIDIA Alt+Z / gallery clips — not Medal or random third-party clip apps. This guide is about a clip workflow: record with OBS, land files in the NVIDIA gallery. It is not a cheat, not game inject, and not a way to dodge server evidence rules.
EEAT / independence. StreamProofed / Testicle Bypass is a PC clip-metadata workflow (OBS → NVIDIA Alt+Z). Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with any FiveM server, city, Cfx.re, or framework. We publish setup guidance only — always follow your server’s Terms of Service and staff instructions. Not a cheat; no game inject.
Why Instant Replay breaks on FiveM
Cfx.re / FiveM isn’t a single retail “supported” GeForce title the way some NVIDIA lists expect. Community threads routinely report Instant Replay refusing to buffer or save. Staff and players therefore push OBS Replay Buffer as the reliable recorder. That’s the right instinct for capture — but it leaves a gap when a city says “send your NVIDIA clip.”
What “Medal-ban / NVIDIA clips only” usually means
Policies vary by city. In practice you’ll hear some mix of:
- Clip watch / strike systems that require a clip from a trusted source.
- Explicit bans on Medal (or other clip apps) for moderation consistency.
- Requests for clips that appear in / export from the NVIDIA Alt+Z gallery.
Your job as a player is to produce the format of clip they asked for, honestly. StreamProofed helps OBS recordings show up in that gallery via folder placement + EncodedBy metadata — the same gallery visibility problem desktop users hit outside FiveM. See the OBS → Alt+Z guide for the mechanism.
City clip-watch / “requires NVIDIA clips”
On some GTA RP cities, staff put players on clip watch after reports or strikes. The ask is usually: provide a clip from a source the city trusts — often NVIDIA Alt+Z / gallery — not Medal, not a random screen recorder folder dump. Policies differ; names and rules change. StreamProofed does not partner with cities and does not interpret ToS for you.
- Workflow only. Record with OBS Replay Buffer (reliable when Instant Replay fails on FiveM). Land the file in Alt+Z Gallery via folder + EncodedBy metadata so you can export or share what staff asked for.
- City-independent. No server scripts, no “undetectable” claims, no affiliation with any framework or city staff.
- Not evidence faking. Testicle Bypass only organizes your OBS recordings into the gallery view. It does not alter gameplay or invent footage.
- Your responsibility. If staff disallow third-party tools, ask them first. Server rules beat any guide.

Recommended workflow
- Install OBS + Replay BufferEnable Replay Buffer, set a hotkey, use a game/display capture that doesn’t bake Discord overlays into the file unless you want them.
- Point OBS at the NVIDIA clips folderMatch the path Alt+Z uses for Highlights/Videos so files aren’t stranded in a random OBS directory.
- Run Testicle BypassDownload v1.4, activate your key, leave the tray app running. It detects OBS clips, stamps EncodedBy for NVIDIA App, and sorts into the gallery location.
- Clip during RP as usualSave Replay Buffer when something clip-worthy happens. Confirm it appears under Alt+Z → Gallery.
- Submit what staff ask forIf they want a gallery export, link, or file from NVIDIA’s UI, use that. Don’t invent “proof” — this tool only organizes your OBS recordings into the gallery view.
DisableNVSP and other community tips
Some players mention FiveM/NVIDIA flags such as DisableNVSP when troubleshooting ShadowPlay. Treat those as optional community troubleshooting tips, not part of the StreamProofed product path. You do not need registry experiments for Testicle Bypass — OBS + gallery metadata is enough for the Alt+Z listing goal.
Clear boundaries (please read)
- Not a cheat. No inject, no memory reads, no anti-cheat interference.
- Not “bypass clip watch.” We never frame this as hiding incidents or forging evidence. It’s a recording → gallery metadata workflow.
- Not city-specific. No scripts, no “undetectable” claims, no server partnerships implied.
- Your responsibility. Server rules beat any guide. If staff disallow third-party tools, ask them — don’t sneak.
FAQ-style notes
FiveM Instant Replay not working — is OBS enough?
For capturing, yes. For cities that insist on NVIDIA gallery clips, pair OBS with gallery-compatible metadata (Testicle Bypass) so Alt+Z lists the file.
Can I keep using Instant Replay when it works?
Absolutely. Use Instant Replay on titles where it’s stable; use OBS + StreamProofed where Instant Replay isn’t, or when you want overlay-free quality control. Comparison: OBS vs NVIDIA Instant Replay.
